Saying Goodbye To Unreal Expectations

What did God intend that you experience in your earliest years? He wanted us to know the embrace of safe, unwavering, unconditional love from the very beginning of life. But the influence of those around us drowned out Godʼs reality, and we soaked up their less-true realities like blotting paper. How our history shapes our reality and false expectations. How too low or too high expectations harm us. 

Disc/Track 2: 

Steps to undoing the old, unrealistic expectations:
1. Beginning to want to look into the new mirrors reflecting Godʼs truth about you.
2. Recognizing the areas of your false reality – a gradual process of dismantling.
3. Determine to work hard at reconstructing the NEW as you let go of the old.
4. Involve other people in your journey.

Bring your expectations in line with Godʼs, and make peace with your own mistakes and othersʼ.
