Mapping & Undoing Unhealthy Family Patterns, Part 3 – Intergenerational Damage: A Biblical & Scientific Perspective

In the middle of the Ten Commandments God sets out what appears to be a curse – that the consequence of sin will be upon the third and fourth generation. Its easy to view this as unfair and even feel angry with God – how can this be the act of a loving God? Yet we now have evidence that its true. In science the pioneering field of epigenetics is recognizing that situations faced by one generation can create physiological and emotional damage in the next. The material reality of Exodus 20:5 is being uncovered.

In this workshop, Pastors Peter Holmes and Susan Williams use scientific and Biblical perspectives to explore the emotional and physiological challenges created when damage impacts several generations.  They highlight the power God has given to change these inheritances.  This understanding offers us greater potential to walk into the healing and wholeness of God’s redemption.
