We all have situations that we face that are challenging, traumatic and perhaps tragic. Although we like to believe we are in control of our lives, these moments take away from us the choice about what happens to us and those we love. So how can we walk well through these moments? One of the most helpful tools is to learn to ‘make peace’ with what has happened, however unwelcome. If we can learn to do this in a healthy way, we will grow a capacity to walk through the situation, to adapt and, where appropriate, to gradually lay a new foundation in that area of our lives. In this audio we introduce some of the key themes of the topic. In next month’s audio we will map out several examples in detail, to help equip us to grow this very essential life skill.
